Radisson Blu Resort Dharamshala

The resort has a great location with a fantastic view. The staff was very friendly and customer oriented. This made our stay for five nights memorable. We had a half board plan covering breakfast and dinner. Both meals were at The Edge. The food too was very delicious. Our flight from New Delhi to Kangra Airport was cancelled on March 31 due to bad weather at Dharamshala but the Reservation team (Praveen and Kunal) of Radisson showed empathy with our plight and adjusted our booking without any financial implication. We took the flight on April 1 and then stayed for 5 nights. We got great food and personal attention from Pankaj (Head Chef) and his deputy Ashwani for the 4 x BF and 5 Dinners at The Edge. We also got to enjoy local Himachali dishes every night. Aman and Ajay went out of their way to look after our requirements very efficiently during all the meals and that made our experience very joyful. The Resort provided High Tea in their Tea Lounge every evening between 1630-1730 and Lalita oversaw that the arrangements were perfect. Our rooms were spick and span and the credit goes to Sonali of Housekeeping who ensured that the guests were happy. Overall cleaniness at the Hotel premises was of a very high order and Santosh the Cleaning Lady was a big contributor. The Hotel overlooks a valley and, in the evening, one was entertained by beautiful flute music by Andle Rana who played near the Infinity Pool. It was mesmerizing. Every evening during dinner at The Edge, they also had live music by the Band Nausikhiye which was a perfect accompaniment to our dinner.

The staff at Radisson Dharamshala is excellent and always ready to help. The property itself is beautiful and has amazing views of the valley and is spread out enough that you can take some walks in the nice weather. The pool area is definitely the jewel of the place and you can spend hours relaxing by it while enjoying the nice views. The bar is good as well. My wife and I enjoyed a few cocktails in the evenings and the staff was kind enough to bring us a small plate of food for our toddler free of charge. The food is on point. We tried the in room dining option twice and the service was great both times. The Italian restaurant was quite good and the Bohri Biriyani from the regular Indian selection is a must try. We were traveling with a toddler and he enjoyed the open air play area as well as the indoor play room.

The hotel was on the top of a hill and the view from the hotel was excellent. Staffs members are kind and polite. Restaurants (one buffet, another Italian) are very good. The car from the hotel to Tibet museum is 1,500 rupees plus tax, takes about 20 minutes.

From the moment we checked in we had a very pleasant experience the entire stay. The staff is exceptional and I highly recommend to anyone to stay at this property if you are wanting comfort, service, and fantastic gastronomy.

Loved the location of the property; located at a height where you have panoramic views of the city. However the location is cut-off from the market and other places. Suggest to take Half-Board stay while planning.
